Welcome!  The Western Martial Arts Coalition is a group of like-minded individuals dedicated to the education, exploration, and expansion of the Western Martial Arts and it's related areas of study.

This site is dedicated to the Western Martial Arts, also known as Historical European Martial Arts, which are the various martial arts of the Western world dating from the early 1300's up to the modern day.  This site is intended to be a point of contact and a resource site for martial artists, instructors, researchers and other related enthusiasts.

If you are just getting started practicing Western Martial Arts and would like to learn more please click on the FAQ button for some overview information and/or head over to our discussion forum and introduce yourself.  There you will find plenty of friendly help from an assortment of practioners, teachers, and researchers.

If you are looking for places and people to train with, please view the Training Opportunities link for established clubs or study groups in your area or you can inquire at the discussion forum.  If nothing is currently available in your area and you would like to start a program of your own you may find various helpful aids in the Video Resources, Training Resources, and Research Articles sections as well as directly from our membership via the discussion forum.

Improvements to our site will continue for some time as we roll out several exciting and unique online programs to benefit members and non-members alike, so check back often.  Please don't hesitate to inquire at our forum regarding any specific programs you'd like to see included or if you have suggestions to improve the site.
